With the signing of the new Collective Bargaining Agreement a new season of the NHL is coming. This blog will be my lame attempt at something approximating insight into the hows and whys of the new NHL. Mostly, I'm just so damn excited to be able to talk about the games on the ice instead of the boardroom that I wanted to try out putting my thoughts down in print. Well, that, and ... well, my wife gets tired of my going on and on about it.
A little background. I'm not a beat writer, rumor-monger or hockey insider. I'm just a fan with a keyboard and $90/year for a typepad account. I've been blogging for over a year at Being Thomas Luongo and The Free Radicals, but both of those have much different agendas and the hockey discussions are somewhat out of place there.
I'm a Buffalo Sabres fan through and through, and am still bitter about the cup finals in 1999.
Please feel free to say what's on your mind and call me out on things when you think I'm wrong.
The NHL is dead. Long live the NHL.
Ta,
p.s. I hate the Dallas Stars.
