Over at LRC there's a link to the list of the 100 scariest movie scenes of all time as decided upon over at Retrocrush.com. I found it really funny that the Shining made the list multiple times, not that it wasn't scary, just that it's one of Kubrick's worst movies, and that Dumbo made the list once.
Yes, that's right. Dumbo came in at #90.
The Scene is "Pink Elephants on Parade." And, he's right. That scene creeped me out when I finally saw Dumbo at an age where I would remember it. I must have been 25 or so.
On a related note, I have an article about the growing Traffic Police State in submission to Lew Rockwell and I should know today whether it's accepted. In my mind this new "Click it or Ticket" commerical is pretty scary stuff. It's also truth in advertising, dealing with the state and it's officers is a nightmarish experience.
